RESPECT REMINDERS
MID YEAR TO FOCUS ON MINIMIZING CLASSROOM INFRACTIONS

ANNOUNCEMENTS
Each day students will hear a reflective quote of the day during morning announcements to which first period teachers will expand on during the start of class. The quote for each day will be the focus the entire day.


Once “caught” abiding by the quote, a paw will be distributed. Whoever has the most paws during that week can be listed as a candidate for student of the week.

 



Monday
CRISS CROSS DAY

Different classes join together to develop thematic posters, slogans or poems to show respect.

Choose a common period on Monday in which you and a colleague, who is in the vicinity, can combine classes together. Students from one class can partner with students from the other class and design their poster or poem together. Work will be displayed.




Tuesday
THUMBPRINT MURALS

During all lunch periods, students and staff will have an opportunity to place their THUMBPRINT on a mural, pledging that no one has a right to keep anyone UNDER THEIR THUMB.
Use morning quote on each poster for each day of week. (5 QUOTES= 5 POSTERS)



Wednesday
HERO DAY
(Help Everyone Respect Others)


How many people can you help in one day? Try to help at least one person every time you switch classes.
Teachers will award 2 paws to students who display heroic qualities by helping another individual.

Thursday
DESIGN A STAR
Each student will decorate a STAR to represent how we
Show Tolerance And Respect
to be displayed in hallways

The stars will be handed out to 11th period teachers and can be designed the last ten minutes of class.

Friday
TEAM DAY

Friday is the day to show we are a TEAM.
students are encouraged to wear sneakers, favorite team shirt and hat.

Donation is $1.00 to wear a favorite team hat. All proceeds go to PBSIS.
